Hence Theatre Company is a dynamic London-based theatre company dedicated to the art of storytelling through original writing. We create a nurturing space for playwrights, actors, and directors to collaborate and explore their craft. By fostering creativity, we aim to produce impactful performances that resonate with audiences while celebrating the richness of theatrical expression in our community. Founded in 2017 by Kieran Rogers and Nanna Remond Petersen, Hence Theatre Company develops and produces innovative works such as Dice and Ophelia. Kieran Rogers, the Artistic Director, graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in 2018. From 2016 to 2019, he served as Joint Artistic Director of Vernal Theatre Company, further strengthening his commitment to nurturing emerging talent and innovative storytelling. He was also the Co-Creator of the Behold International Theatre Festival (2021–2025), an annual cross-cultural platform showcasing new writing and experimental performance from artists across Europe. The festival brings together diverse voices and disciplines, fostering international collaboration and creative exchange through the shared language of theatre. With a background in directing, writing, and dramaturgy, Kieran is dedicated to fostering creative collaboration and supporting artists in bringing new voices to the stage. His artistic practice focuses on storytelling that is bold, intimate, and thought-provoking, exploring themes of connection, identity, and transformation. Through Hence Theatre and his wider creative projects, Kieran continues to champion innovation and inclusivity in contemporary theatre-making.
